Saucony Shadow 6000 Oktoberfest Review

By Anthony Levine, longtime sneaker collector.

It’s been a while since I grabbed up some Shadow 6000s. The brand went all out on these Saucony Shadow 6000 Oktoberfest, giving them the special branding and packaging even without them being a collab!

Saucony Shadow 6000 Oktoberfest

The shoe is obviously based on the German holiday Oktoberfest, in celebration of beer! This is exemplified by the hop imagery all over the insole and packaging, even going as far as an embossed hop on the tongue.

This is definitely a fall shoe given the palette and inspiration. Thus, I would go with fall type outfits with these. Khakis/khaki denim is a good look here, as well as dark blue jeans. Pair that with a grey or brown top and you will have a nice autumnal look going!

I almost going to slept on these but I’m stoked I bought them because they are great in hand. I’m a fan of this model already, and Saucony really went all out to make these a great shoe worthy of your collection. I highly recommend these if you can find a pair in your size.

How Are The Materials?

The materials are just insane on these. The leather is of a very, very good quality. The light blue portions are a nubuck/short haired suede that is extremely buttery. Overall you will not be disappointed in the materials used. As stated earlier, a collab level of attention is brought to the shoe. The shoe also features some 3M on the yellow parts of the shoe, although it is not super overt – it seems to be a bit more subtle of a flash here.

How Do They Fit?

These Saucony Shadow 6000 Oktoberfest fit a little big. They are extremely comfortable though! I did my true Saucony size (half size down from Nike), and although I think going down in size further would have not been a good look, these still feel a little roomy. I find this to be the case with shoes made with quality leather. Many times nicer leather holds its shape rather than flexing to fit like a glove. The slope is good on Shadow 6ks in general, although of course I reshaped my pair anyway just to get it extra pointy.
